
Description
This workshop introduces students and practitioners to the intersections of queer and trans identity and furry participation. Participants will gain foundational knowledge of the furry community, examine how stigma and misrepresentation impact practice, and learn affirming strategies to better support clients.
This workshop is part of the Furry Studies 2025 Conference. Please note that this workshop will not be streamed.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand how fursonas support identity, embodiment, and creative expression.
- Evaluate cultural narratives and stereotypes about furries.
- Apply reflexive, affirming approaches to support queer and trans furry clients.
